Carbon 14 Urea Breath Test

Preparation:

  • Do not have anything to eat or drink 6 hours prior to test.
  • You must be able to swallow a whole capsule. ( Capsule is made of gelatin, sugar, starch. It contains NO soya or wheat.)
  • OFF all antibiotics for 1 month.
  • OFF Bismuth (Pepto Bismol) for 1 month.
  • OFF Sulcralfate (Sulcrate) for 2 weeks.
  • OFF Proton Pump Inhibitors for 2 weeks. (see list below)
  • Please bring all your medications with you
  • This test will take 20 minutes
