(Windsor, ON) Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital is urging patients who are scheduled to receive treatment at HDGH and its satellite units to make sure they do not attempt to drive themselves to the hospital in unsafe conditions.

This is of particular importance to renal dialysis patients scheduled to receive treatment on Wednesday. Should you be unable to travel to meet your scheduled time for treatment, please contact your renal unit and our staff will help make alternate travel arrangements to ensure treatment is received.

We will also extend the hours of operation for renal dialysis if required to ensure every patient who needs treatment is able to receive it.

Also, if you are a patient scheduled for an elective surgery and cannot travel to HDGH, please contact the hospital to have the procedure rescheduled.

Major snowstorms can lead to an increase in motor vehicle accidents as well as cardiac cases if the right precautions are not taken. Remember to avoid driving in unsafe conditions; dress warmly; and don’t exert yourself outdoors.
