WHAT: Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital’s Cataract Surgery Program has long been regarded as the gold standard in the province, prompting many teams of ophthalmic surgeons and nurses from other hospitals to visit HDGH to view its model with the hopes of adopting all or part of it in their own institutions or clinics.
On Tuesday, Dr. Barry Emara, Chief of Opthalmology at HDGH, and our Cataract Surgery team will be celebrating some outstanding achievements in terms of number of procedures performed and their plans to acquire new state-of-the-art technology to further improve the efficiency of this unit.

WHERE: The Learning Centre (First floor near the Chapel) The Cataract Surgery Program is located in the basement at HDGH, across from the main bank of elevators. Cameras will be allowed for a tour of the facility following the brief media event at the Learning Centre.
