Public Sector Salary Disclosure

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital

WINDSOR, ON – In accordance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital today has released its list of salaries and benefits paid to employees who earned $100,000 or more as reported on the Canada Revenue Agency T4 slip.

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital is the premier tertiary acute care hospital for the Windsor-Essex region. The hospital provides advanced care in such areas as complex trauma, renal dialysis, cardiac care, stroke and neurosurgery, acute mental health and a broad range of medical and surgical services required to support these specialized areas.

The hospital has a staff complement of nearly 1,800 employees, including nearly 700 nurses and 100 registered practical nurses. The hospital also has more than 300 physicians and some 750 volunteers.

The list below discloses the salaries and benefits paid to 45 employees, which accounts for roughly 2.5 per cent of our total salaried workforce. The list below also amounts to roughly 2.6 per cent of Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital’s annual $210 million overall budget.

For the 2011-12 fiscal year, the senior executive team will be subject to a 5% impact on salaries based on achieving performance targets as set out in its Quality Improvement Plan. The linking of senior executive compensation to measureable performance targets complies with new provincial legislation under the Excellent Care for All Act.
