Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital & EMS Team Up to Support Jumpstart Nutrition Program

WHAT: Staff at HDGH along with our friends at EMS will be busy stuffing two ambulances on October 11, 2011 to deliver food, items of clothing and "recycled soles" to more than 700 students at Frank Begley and St. Angela schools.

Their efforts are in support of the Jumpstart Nutrition Program operated by the Greater Essex County District School Board and Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board which provides breakfast and snacks to children in area schools.

To date, the Feeding our Future Campaign launched by HDGH employees in September has raised more than $12,000  in cash donations and payroll deduction and enough food, clothing and shoes to fill two ambulances. Part of this donation was made possible by CAW Local 2458 and their generous donation of $1000 and EMS who has also donated $1,000 along with items to stuff the two ambulances.

 WHEN: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: St. Angela School at 816 Ellis Street East (the first ambulance will arrive with the siren blaring and will be greeted by students, teachers and School Board officials).
