Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital
 
WINDSOR, ON - In accordance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital today released its list of salaries and benefits paid to employees who earned $100,000 or more as reported on the Canada Revenue Agency T4 slip.
 

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital plays a unique role in Windsor-Essex as the regional provider of advanced care in such areas as complex trauma, renal dialysis, cardiac care, stroke and neurosurgery, acute mental health and a broad range of medical and surgical services required to support these specialized areas.

The hospital has a staff complement of nearly 1,800 employees, including almost 700 nurses and 100 registered practical nurses. The hospital also has more than 300 physicians and some 750 volunteers.

The list below discloses the salaries and benefits paid to 56 employees, which accounts for roughly three per cent of our total salaried workforce. The list below also amounts to roughly three per cent of Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital’s annual $222 million overall budget. Non-union employees, representing 27 of the 56 individuals listed below, have not received any inflationary or economic increases since 2008.

Wages for the senior executive team were reduced by five per cent, as of April 1, 2011. Some or all of this reduction can be earned back if targets set out in the HDGH Quality Improvement Plan for the 2011-12 fiscal year are met. For the 2012-13 fiscal year, the senior executive team will again be subject to a 5% impact on salaries based on achieving performance targets as set out in our second annual Quality Improvement Plan.
