Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Problem Gambling Programs & Services on the move

Windsor, ON - Since 1994, Problem Gambling Services have been providing Outpatient Treatment Programs designed to help individuals who are experiencing gambling problems as well as those family members and friends who are being affected by problem gambling. In 2005 the 6 bed Residential Treatment Program was introduced.

The services have been offered from 2109 Ottawa Street East in Windsor. In an effort to address operational issues including the accessibility requirements pursuant to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2007 (AODA), the program will be moved into interim accommodations at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare. Permanent accommodations at the campus are currently under design.

Joe Karb is the Director of Mental Health & Addictions Programs at Hôtel-Dieu Grace
and he stated that, “We are very much looking forward to transferring all of our
Problem Gambling Services to our main campus which will allow us to address
operational and accessibility issues for our employees and patients respectively. This brings us one step closer to having the programs into newly refurbished and permanent accommodations.”

The phone number will remain the same (519 254-2112) and the hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended hours until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The transfer of programs will take place between Wednesday, December 17th through to Friday, December 19th, 2014.
