You will be taken to the recovery area (PACU) for monitoring following your surgery. Once your healthcare team determines that you are stable, you will be transferred to your room in one of our inpatient units.
Once you are in your room you will meet the nurse who will be caring for you and you will be given information about any tubes, drains or dressings you may have. Your nurse will frequently ask you about any pain you may be experiencing and your healthcare team will do their best to make you as comfortable as possible.
It’s important for you to tell your nurse or other member of your healthcare team, about any concerns you might have. You know your body best and if something doesn’t feel right please tell your doctor or nurse. Ask questions. We’re here for you. |
