The Ontario Health Study is inviting all Ontario residents aged 18 and older to join a major new online research initiative that will investigate the causes, prevention and treatment of many common diseases. We have endorsed this groundbreaking Study and are proud to support its objectives.
The Ontario Health Study is the largest of its type ever attempted in Canada and is poised to become one of the largest in the world. The first of its type to be done online, it will give researchers access to information that will help guide the development of prevention and treatment strategies for diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, sleep disorders, depression and many others.
In the past, population-based health studies led to the discovery of the links between smoking and lung cancer and between obesity and heart disease. By spending 20-30 minutes signing up and completing the Ontario Health Study’s online questionnaire, you can help Ontario make a major research contribution with international significance.
We encourage you to consider joining the Study and spreading the word to your family and friends. Participation is entirely voluntary.
