The Nursing Resource Team is a flexible staffing initiative that consists of nursing staff employed in full-time permanent positions by HDGH to cover vacancies and absences, and to respond to increases in the numbers of patients or the seriousness of their conditions.
The NRT offers a competitive advantage for the hospital through its ability to recruit, retain and maximize the use of nurses during a time of shortage, and it has proven to be a very efficient means of providing appropriate staff coverage.
