Volunteer Assignments

Please read job descriptions and shift times carefully before making your selection. You may work all day if you so desire.

 

COURSE PREP/GARBAGE PICK-UP
Student/Adult Volunteers. All weather conditions. Bring gloves, wear sensible footwear and layers of clothing. Standing/walking, lifting/carrying, all around Malden Park, carrying garbage bag, pick up any paper, cans, other objects.

 

I am available the following days/times

 

COURSE SET-UP "VILLAGE" AREA
Student/Adult Volunteers. All weather conditions. Bring gloves, wear sensible footwear and layers of clothing. Very physical, standing/walking, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling.

 

I am available the following days/times

 

SWAG BAG PACKING
Student/Adult Volunteers. Under main event area tent - bring layers of clothing as it can be cool beneath the tent. Reaching, standing/walking and lifting.

COURSE SET-UP
Student/Adult Volunteers. All weather conditions. Bring gloves, wear sensible footwear and layers of clothing. Very physical, standing/walking around Malden Park, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, pounding in stakes, digging with a shovel.

PACKET PICK UP
Adult Volunteers Only. Under main event area tent - bring layers of clothing as it can be cool beneath the tent. Reaching, standing.

 

I am available the following days/times

 

GARBAGE MONITOR
Student/Adult Volunteers. Standing/walking, reaching, lifting garbage bags from containers, replacing bags to line containers, carrying garbage bags to receptacle, etc. Should only be food/beverage garbage.

OBSTACLE MONITOR
Student/Adult Volunteers. All weather conditions. Bring appropriate clothing (extra layers) for weather conditions, lawn chair, rubber boots, and additional snacks, bug spray, sunblock, temperature can change or vary depending on location of obstacle. Light to medium lifting.

COURSE WATER ATTENDANT
Student/Adult Volunteers. Standing, reaching down to ground to pick up water cups. Lifting 40L jugs of water.

"FREE" SNACK FOOD ATTENDANT
Student/Adult Volunteers. Replenish donated food to containers.

 

I am available the following days/times

 

BAG CHECK-IN/PICK-UP
Adult Volunteers Only. Under main event area tent - bring layers of clothing as it can be cool beneath tent. Reaching, standing/walking, lifting/carrying, etc. bags of unknown wieight/size.

COURSE TEAR-DOWN
Student/Adult Volunteers. All weather conditions. Bring gloves, wear sensible footwear and layers of clothing. Very physical, standing/walking anywhere at Malden Park, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, removing stakes, etc.

PARK CLEAN-UP
Student/Adult Volunteers. All weather conditions. Bring gloves, wear sensible footwear and layers of clothing. Standing/walking all around Malden Park, carrying garbage bag, pick up any paper, cans, other objects, etc.
