Reporting directly to the Program Manager, the Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for the advancement of nursing and allied health knowledge and professional practice to ensure evidence-based, individualized care of patients and families. The Clinical Practice Manager is also responsible for directing and developing advanced nursing practice within the program and across the patient care spectrum.
The Clinical Practice Manager is accountable for supporting, promoting, and leading through example, the adoption of the organization’s mission, vision and value. The Clinical Practice Manager complies with the Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge base and clinical competence in relevant area of patient care
• Demonstrated ability to lead and affect change
• Demonstrated skills in problem solving, analytical skills and creative thinking
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team approach and to adhere to accepted standards of personal conduct
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining/enhancing professional competence through participation in appropriate continuing education activities and nursing research
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Competence with Microsoft Office software
• French Language proficiency is an asset

Education and/or Certification:
• Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario – required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing - required, Masters in Nursing - preferred
• Minimum five (5) years recent relevant clinical experience – required
• Minimum three (3) years patient/family/staff teaching experience – preferred
• Certified in Canadian Nursing Association Rehabilitation Nursing CRN(C) and/or Gerontology Nursing GN(C)- preferred
• ACLS – asset
