Janice Dawson, Vice President Clinical Services - Restorative Care & Chief Nursing Executive
Janice Dawson is the Vice President of Clinical Services, Restorative Care and Chief Nursing Executive at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s (HDGH).
A nurse by profession, Janice brings frontline experience that is crucial in leading the HDGH team of healthcare workers, staff, and caregivers to provide better outcomes for patients. Janice was integral in a person-centered model of care change in the Complex Medical Care and Palliative Units, introducing Personal Support Workers to the healthcare unit. With the goal of transforming HDGH into a hospital inclusive of the elderly population, Janice leads the Senior Friendly Care Strategy. To elevate the quality of care for patients, Janice is also involved in the Outpatient Rehab Project, a capital project to renovate the outpatient rehabiliation therapy gym. Janice serves on the HDGH Quality Committee and as Ex-Officio Director on the HDGH Board of Directors.
Prior to joining the HDGH family, Janice served in a variety of executive roles within the Acute Care hospital setting. Janice’s experience in previous roles extends beyond clinical leadership, having worked on quality improvement, the patient experience and developing and implementing regional programs from both a financial and process improvement lens. Janice received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Nursing from the University of Windsor.
