Heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a growing recognition of the urgent need to improve health and social care for older adults and, particularly, older adults with frailty. With a steadily aging population living in Windsor-Essex, this means that care needs of our local senior population will continue to grow in volume and complexity.
Over the next few years, HDGH is committed to improving the care of older adults living in our community, improving their experience with our programs and services, and improving the performance, accountability, and sustainability of our local healthcare system. To support this commitment, we are developing a “Senior Friendly Care Strategy”, which will promote and provide our strategic direction and leadership for seniors.
Our first step in developing a Senior Friendly Care (sfCare) Strategy is to gain an understanding of the current state of sfCare at HDGH, identify priorities for improvement, and gather our shareholders perspectives on how to better support older adults and their families at HDGH.
The following survey explains the different aspects of senior friendly care and poses 6 questions to help facilitate discussion and get your input on the strategic direction of our Senior Friendly Care initiative.
Participation in the survey is VOLUNTARY and all responses are completely ANONYMOUS. Individual responses will not be reported and we will not be able to identify any individual respondents. There are no right or wrong answers; it’s your opinion that counts. Note that the survey offers a Text-to-Speech option that will read questions aloud to support accessibility.
