Lou Valente
Lou is a lifelong Windsorite recently retiring from a 35+ year career at RBC Royal Bank, the last 20 years as an Investment Advisor with RBC’s brokerage arm RBC Dominion Securities.
Lou has served area families in one way or another since high school when he began working for the family soft drink business. Lou’s parents owned and operated ‘The Pop Shoppe’ along with the ‘7up’ operation, two prominent bottling operations that enjoyed exclusive regional rights for several major soft drink brands.
Lou’s education in the family business eventually led to Honours Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Windsor.
Over his long and distinguished career with RBC and RBC Dominion Securities Lou has built up a number of deeply meaningful decades long professional and personal relationships. During his career with RBC Dominion Securities Lou obtained Personal Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Investment Manager designations.
Lou has worked in, welcomed and weathered virtually every variety of market conditions, which has taught him to manage complex portfolios and delicate client emotions with equal expertise. One of his guiding principles has always been:

An automotive enthusiast and avid traveler, Lou has long been a fixture in his community. Most notably, from 2016 to 2017, he served his community as president of the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) and is a past director of the Canadian Italian Professional and Business Association (CIPBA) – Windsor Chapter. Lou has been married to Betty Ann for over 30 years and together they have a son Anthony.
