Lead Agency
The Lead Agency for Child and Youth Mental Health Services is responsible for ensuring that core mental health services are delivered within a specific geography. It also focuses on building and strengthening relationships with healthcare providers, education, the justice system, and the community-based sector to support the mental health needs of infants, children, youth, young adults, and families.
Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH) is the Lead Agency for Child and Youth Mental Health Services in Windsor- Essex. Working together with our Core Service Providers, HDGH provides leadership to ensure that the diverse needs of Windsor/Essex children, youth, and their families are kind, responsive, evidence-informed, collaborative, and family-centered.
A community-based hospital specializing in the delivery of mental health and addiction services throughout an individual’s lifespan, HDGH also operates the Regional Children’s Centre (RCC) providing mental health services to children and youth aged 6-12.
Windsor-Essex Child and Youth Core Service Providers
Lead Agency work is done through close partnership and collaboration of 5 Core Service Providers in Windsor-Essex. They include:
- Children First (ages 0-6)
- HDGH Regional Children’s Centre (ages 6-12)
- Maryvale Adolescent and Family Services (ages 13 up to 18 years)
- Family Respite Services Windsor-Essex (ages 0 up to 18 years)
- WeCHC Teen Health Centre - Addiction Support Program (ages 12 up to 18 years)
