Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s (HDGH) Inpatient Rehabilitation program has been specifically designed for individuals who have had a change in their physical and/or cognitive function, and would benefit from the expertise of an inter-professional healthcare team. This team will help to improve your level of independence in order to return to the community safely. The length of stay varies and is determined on an individual basis.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation program is located on the 3rd and 4th floor of the Dr. Fouad Tayfour Regional Rehabilitation Centre (Tayfour Tower/Building) and on the 1st floor of the Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility (Emara Building).
A Physician specializing in Rehabilitation and a Family Physician will be assigned to you on admission to monitor rehabilitation progress and attend to any medical needs during your stay. Our services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Spiritual Care and Dietary.
You will be an active participant in your rehabilitation journey. Within this time limited program, your inter-professional healthcare team will assist you in improving your independence by increasing your strength, mobility, and endurance to better manage your daily activities.
Rehabilitation at HDGH provides the opportunity to learn and practice skills in a safe and supportive environment.
