Pat Soulliere, Vice Chair
Pat is a retired Certified Professional Accountant (CPA/CGA), having received his designation in 1983 following graduation from Business Administration, Accounting at St Clair College in 1978. A diverse career spanning over 40 years includes positions in the federal, municipal and private sector. His positions included Director of Sales for Centoco Plastics, a privately held company of over 40 years based in Windsor, Ontario. President of Windsor Raceway Ltd. and Winrac Development Inc., privately held companies operating horse racing tracks in Windsor, Dresden and Woodstock, Ontario. Previous positions also include senior positions in finance with the City of Windsor and Canada Revenue Agency.
His forty years plus of professional business experience includes areas of internal audit, fiscal management, budgeting, regulatory and government agency compliance and human resource management.
Pat’s volunteer activities include being the current Vice Chair of HDGH, current Chair of Oneday Dreams, a charity that provides dreams to individuals over eighteen years of age diagnosed with terminal illness, community member of the Alzheimer Society of Windsor Essex Building Committee and past chair of the Alzheimer Society of Windsor Essex. His experience includes areas of board governance, finance, strategic planning, accreditation and board recruitment.
Pat and his wife Donna are life long residents of Windsor/Essex and have three adult children, Amie, Jason and Ryan. Pat spends his spare time fishing, camping and enjoying time with his granddaughter Nora.
Meet the Board
HDGH: What motivated you to join HDGH’s Board of Directors?
PS: I was a community member of the Finance and Audit Committee for approximately 5 years. I gained a lot of knowledge about HDGH while a community member and felt I could contribute more to the organization by joining the Board.
HDGH: What do you believe are the most prominent health needs in our community?
PS: Mental health, addictions and homelessness are the most prominent issue facing our community. The pandemic has only increased the seriousness of these issues.
HDGH: As a member of the Board, how does the board ensure a healthy, equitable community?
PS: By staying with our values as a faith-based organization and following our mission by ensuring excellent governance and strategic direction for HDGH
